12-28-09

Im in pretty good shape. I work out now between 2-4 times a week. Sometimes 2. occasionally 3. rarely 4 (but it does happen)

I created this challenge for motivation. and I know how my brain works. If I set a goal, I will work harder to achieve that goal, than if i just say "Im going to work out more in x time period".

Also, this isnt so much a new years resolution. mostly because I dont plan to maintain this rigorous workout schedule for the year.

45 days. 45 workouts. no days off (unless I get sick). I have a trainer and a gym that Ill use some. Other times I will simply walk out my front door and run. or maybe a swim at the big gym I still retardedly pay monthly dues at (but never go)

So, Ill track my progress here. If for some reason I miss a day. Ill add 2.

My goal is Feb 11. No days off.

if you decide you want to do the same kind of challenge. create a blog page. send me the link. Ill post it and we can all motivate each other.

Off to the gym.

  2. Sounds like a great way for me to get back on track with my 1/2 marathon training! I'll put the first post up after I go to core class tonight. Good luck and have fun with it!

  3. I'll try it out. I've been trying to find something that will keep me motivated long enough to lose more than 10 or 15 lbs. I normally will do really well with my diet and work out schedule but then i lose my motivation and some of the weight comes back on. I'm willing to try something new. Here is the link to my blog page http://lgworkouts-lg.blogspot.com/ I've never blogged before so I'll put something up later.

  5. We just tweeted you, but my friends are doing a similar project called Out of Control Fat Roll (we were recently featured in the Statesman this past fall for our ridiculousness). We found a little friendly competition was the best motivation. Whoever lost the biggest precentage of weight got a pair of jeans paid for by the three losers. Person who lost the least had to post a pic of themselves in a bikini. Now we are trying to do maintenance -- whoever gains more than 2% of their weight back has to post a picture of themselves in a bikini ;) Fear of humiliation does wonders. www.outofcontrolfatroll.com

  6. yeah bobby, now that's a great way to keep up with the whole workout thing and really good to get back in the sport/workout worlds for me coming back from an injury and surgery and the whole 'don't-move-thing'. hope I can keep at it, I think that's exactly the right thing for me here! thank you for that, blah.
    I'm in for the win!

  11. Since you will not have recovery days, will you change how you eat? Will your diet get modified? I'm just curious.

  12. I have to admit -your workouts are awesome. How long is it taking you to do that many pushups a day??
